Career Change
"Choose a job you enjoy, and you'll never work a day in your life." (Confucius)
Career change can be stressful. As a large portion of our lives is spent at work, so it is important that we do something that inspires and fulfills us.
Gone are the days of a ‘job for life’. In the current economic climate, in particular, individuals are assessing their career prospects, their future career paths and whether what they are doing is rewarding.
People change. What motivated and challenged them at one stage of their life may no longer sustain those feelings.
- Perhaps you have found yourself stuck in a job that no longer encourages you to get up in the morning.
- Perhaps you aspire to greater things.
- Perhaps you would like to earn an income from a hobby but unsure how to start.
- Maybe you have “always wanted to be ……”.
Whatever your career situation, life coaching can enable you to decide which direction would fulfill and excite you, which resources would help you to change and where to find them, and develop an action plan to work towards that new career.
I have found that even the process of taking positive action towards changing career relieves the stress of a draining, dead-end job.
As your personal life coach I will support you taking control of your career path so that it develops the way YOU want it to.
"Helen coached me whilst I was feeling very stuck in my current job. I’ve always wanted to start up my own business, but have lacked the confidence to take the first important steps. Helen’s coaching helped me enormously, pushing me and motivating me where I was once giving up. Through my sessions of coaching I am now well on my way to setting up by myself now, by the end of 2008 I will have my own business, without the coaching I would honestly still be just thinking about it."
